Hoping the community has some input! Â I see lots of chatter about "pre-bronze" and testing various things at the end of March in all the skating communities, but I'm super new and started skating recreationally in November. Â I've gotten pretty obsessed...and just wonder how the whole testing thing works? Â Do you need to be with a coach/club and they enter you into some kind of testing session somewhere? Â My home rink doesn't have figure skating programs like this, so I don't see it or have any idea where I can read more and learn about the process. Â I'm hoping to get organized over summer so I can do this testing thing next year! Â Thanks in advance :)Â
I don’t even know if you can call me retired (because it’s been so long). But it’s been MANY years since my skating years. However I’m back out there and fully loving it. Lots is thanks to Skate & Sculpt getting me to take the first step. This is baby me. Show me your pics of you at your prime!
Hey Figure Fam!
This April we have a spring challenge for everyone that I am BEYOND excited about. Every week we will have one Strut Skate and one off-ice workout for you to work through. The goal is to help our community reconnect with the ice and their strength in a way that is organic, healing and empowering.
We will post weekly vids on the Figure Skating Club, but you'll also see short clips on social. We're trying to build out this community and help people feel confident getting on the ice with or without a coach- basically we're your #1 cheerleaders forever and always!
Naturally I am hooking everyone up (the perks of this community). Everyone who shows up for every work out, and posts a photo of their skates with #figurefamchallenge will be entered to win a pair of new skates! Comment questions below and more details to come fam!

Hey Ashley, I promised you a photo of my son Skyler in your gorgeous merch. So here it is. Â
S&S encouraged me to get back on the ice….I started taking lessons in November, new boots & blades in Jan, and last week I registered for pre-bronze moves & freestyle tests at the end of March. First set of tests in 20+ years. Skating for myself this time around and feeling so good about myself.Â
What can I expect on test day? I’m not nervous about the skills - I’m nervous about the actual test day.Â
Omg. This is so cute. Can’t wait to chat with everyone else and support each other 👏💞⛸️
I'm 32 - back on the ice after a 10+ year break (gulp) and trying to transition from ISI to USFSA since that's the norm at nearby rinks. Would love to connect with anyone else local.
If anyone here is in the Hartford Area of CT - I have found that Champions Skating Center in Cromwell has tons of free skate time. If you have a flexible schedule and can go mid-day during the week there is almost no one there! Twice this week I was one of 4 or less on the ice.
I was on bed rest for a long time after a traumatic birth so a lot of the moves felt hard!!! I feel like I lost a lot of muscle BUT I loved it. I left the ice feeling so happy and it felt like the most fun workout. My core lost a lot of strength. I was bending forward after my second 3 turn with double 3s. Also my power pulls need work haha
I’m 32, getting back on the ice after 12 years off. I just had a baby in September and this has me so excited to get moving and feel strong again!
